Foams

Design of experiments:

  • At ambient, and in liquid nitrogen (-196°C):
    • Traction: measurements of Poisson's ratio and Young's modulus.
    • Compression: On foam cubes, at 5, 10 and 50 mm/min. Compression at 5m/s (Post-test calculations of Poisson's ratio and Young's modulus).
    • Post-test analysis to determine Poisson's ratio and Young's modulus (DAM), synced with the force and the position of the tensile machine.
